Hello from the Chamber ladies….we get to see celebrities and political people here at the Chamber…but none more exciting than this guy right here. Last night with Santa’s help and yours we raised over 1500 dollars for some great local charities!!!! We want to thank all those that braved the nasty weather to come down and help us lite the lights…Special thanks to Friends of the Downtown for serving up great refreshments…the Girl Scouts for carolling…Red Higgins and friends for the music..Brian and Kim Wilson and friends for organizing the Holiday Magic Display..AND our wonderful businesses that made trees and displayed trees for Christmas Trees for Charities…the businesses that donated lights and decorations and put up the beautiful displays along the Riverwalk ….It is so great to live..work ..and play in our extended community! So many times we hear – "there is never anything to do around here" Well when we hear that we always like to answer with a list of events put on by all of the good people in our area. So… in the next four days – here are a few things you may want to know….
THURSDAY – tonight!!! come on down to the City Park and help Santa light the beautiful scenes of Holiday Magic along the Riverwalk. Santa will be there at 6 and we will be treated by caroling from the Medford Giril Scouts and also by RED HIGGINS..the Christmas Trees for Charities will be on view for the last time for bidding and most importantly Santa will be there to listen to every kid’s wish!!!
FRIDAY – Stetsonville Community Center Buffet – 4:30 – 7:00
SATURDAY – Children’s Christmas Corner 9-1 at the Medford Middle School. Chamber Businesses will offer great gifts for kids to buy all $15 and under – elves will help your kids shop and they will be wrapped to put under the tree … Santa will make a stop from 10 – 11:30….Huey’s Hideaway will have a pop-up shop offering educational toys for parents to purchase.
-Craft Show and Amish Bake Sale – 8- 5 – Little Black Town Hall
-Craft Fair with over 30 vendors – Camp 28 – Rib Lake – 9-5
-Courageous Cason’s Benefit 12-5 at Krug’s Towing and Repair…Featuring lots of family activities..help raise money for this great family!
-Spaghetti Dinner 5-7 Sacred Heart Catholic Church – Stesonville
-Red Higgins’ Classic Country Christmas Show –2 and 630 Medford High School Red/White Theater – Proceeds go to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight
-Abby Christmas Parade – Abbottsford – starting at 7:30
SUNDAY – Special presentation on Alzheimer’s and dealing with family members afflicted – Immanuel Lutheran Church – Call the church for times.
Gilman Community Choir Christmas Concert – Gilman High School at 2 pm
Promise Quartet Christmas Concert – First Baptist Church – 6:30

Bids are coming in on the Trees like crazy today!!!! Make sure you call our office to bid on some amazing Christmas Trees that will help out 14 local organizations in our community!!! Great way to have a decorated tree for the Holiday’s. Bidding will end Thursday night @ 6pm at the Medford City Park during the Lighting of the Lites and Holiday Magic Kick-Off. The Winners will be able to pick up their tree that night starting @ 6pm and going till 7pm.
